For too long, animals have been forced to perform in circuses all around the world, spending nearly 96% of their lives in chains or cages, with no choice but to defecate where they sleep and eat. Circuses with animal acts are consistently cited for other animal welfare violations, such as failure to provide fresh food, water, and veterinary care. All of this has led to public condemnation becoming more and more pronounced over the years. Despite this, circuses in Latin America continue to abuse these animals for profit. Seeking to increase the public pressure on them, PETA Latina launched a thought-provoking, vibrant ad campaign that contrasts the pageantry of a circus with the misery of the animals involved.
